   Identify the section of pipe before it exits the foundation wall or floor. Choose a straight run that allows space for cutting and installing the wye fitting.

2. Cut into the PVC Line
   Shut off water use in the house. Use a PVC saw to cut into the main drain line where the cleanout will be installed.

3. Install the WYE Fitting

   • Dry-fit the 3" DWV WYE Hub Skew Y-Tee into the cut section.

   • Use PVC primer and cement to bond the fittings.

   • Ensure the angled hub faces upward or at a slight angle for easy access.

4. Add the Female Adapter

   • Cement the spigot x FIPT female adapter into the WYE hub.

   • This creates the threaded connection for the cleanout plug.

5. Thread in the Cleanout Plug

   • Insert the MIPT cleanout plug and hand-tighten securely.

   • Use thread sealant if needed to ensure a watertight fit.
