Tips & Tricks – Step-by-Step Installation:

Step 1: Prepare the Copper Pipe

• Cut the copper pipe squarely and remove burrs using a deburring tool.

• Clean the outside of the copper pipe and the inside of the female elbow fitting using a wire brush or emery cloth.

Step 2: Apply Flux

• Apply a thin, even layer of lead-free flux to both the copper pipe and the fitting to ensure proper solder flow and prevent oxidation.

Step 3: Solder the Copper Connection

• Heat the elbow fitting evenly with a propane torch until the flux bubbles.

• Touch lead-free solder to the joint; allow it to flow via capillary action to form a secure, leak-proof seal.

• Let the joint cool naturally before proceeding.

Step 4: Prepare the PEX-B Pipe

• Slide a PEX crimp ring over the end of the PEX-B pipe.

• Fully insert the PEX-B pipe onto the fitting barb.

Step 5: Crimp the PEX Connection

• Use a compatible PEX crimp tool to secure the ring, ensuring a tight, leak-free seal.
