Installation Tips – Step-by-Step:

Step 1: Prepare the 3/4 in. Female Copper Fitting

• Clean the inside of the female fitting using a wire brush or emery cloth to remove oxidation and debris.

Step 2: Apply Flux and Solder

• Apply a thin layer of lead-free flux to the male sweat end and the inside of the female fitting.

• Heat evenly with a propane torch until the flux bubbles.

• Touch lead-free solder to the joint and allow it to flow via capillary action to create a secure, leak-proof seal.

• Allow the joint to cool naturally.

Step 3: Prepare the 1/2 in. PEX-B Pipe

• Slide a PEX crimp ring over the end of the 1/2 in. PEX-B pipe.

• Fully insert the pipe onto the crimp barb.

Step 4: Crimp the PEX-B Connection

• Use a compatible PEX crimp tool to secure the ring, ensuring a tight, leak-free seal.

• Verify the crimp with a go/no-go gauge if available.
